The New Zealand Entertainment Podcast exists to be the place to hear about what is happening in entertainment locally – film, music, tv, apps, internet and gaming. We feature those from the various parts of the entertainment industry globally – and highlighting the best of NZ entertainment too – from be it the latest from Peter Jackson or Lorde, or NZ’s newest homegrown games and apps.

We provide a platform for those in the industry to share their stories in a manner that will easily consumed by all via their smartphone, iPod, tablet or computer. The NZ Entertainment Podcast is published by Gorilla Voice and the key contributors are:

  • Wal Reid – Host
  • Jarred Tito – Co-Host
  • Paul Spain – Executive Producer
  • Simon Peterson – Theme Sounds

We’ve had dozens of guests including Cliff Curtis (actor), Dai Henwood (comedian) and Broods (band).

The NZ Entertainment Podcast was born out of NZ #1 local dedicated podcast – the NZ Tech Podcast which launched in early 2011 and soon reached the coveted top spot on iTunes NZ charts. Following the successful launch of the NZ Tech Podcast, Gorilla Voice founder Paul Spain began looking for further podcasts that would interest the New Zealand audience. The launch of the NZ Entertainment Podcast in February 2014 was our first new podcast of the year.
