Auckland’s much-loved Basement Theatre, this year celebrating its 10th anniversary, is fighting hard to keep arts education alive for Kiwi secondary school students by funding a curriculum-friendly Schools Programme – in particular targeted at school students who have limited opportunities to experience live theatre.
Dance teacher/choreographers Perri Exeter (with partner Joash Fahitua) talks about their show Side B which recently featured at this years Auckland Fringe Festival, and how they continue to work with teens within the community.
